Mosaic Art & Cafe sits quietly on the edge of Taipei’s busy Yongkang Street, offering a casual spot where Turkish and Mediterranean flavors intersect with local Taipei life. This small café and eatery blends a variety of roles—part doner kebab joint, part ice cream shop, part halal restaurant—which is reflected in its modest but diverse menu and intimate setting.

The atmosphere here leans toward cozy and unpretentious. Seating is limited, with roughly eight spots inside and a few outdoors, making it feel more like a neighborhood grab-and-go place than a full-service restaurant. Because of this, it’s best to visit during off-peak hours if you want to dine in, otherwise takeaway is common and convenient. The café’s soundtrack of Turkish music adds a layer of authenticity and charm without overwhelming the comfortable simplicity.

Locals and visitors who appreciate straightforward, well-seasoned Turkish dishes often find Mosaic rewarding—not for elaborate dining, but for satisfying, affordable meals that carry a genuine regional character. Those looking for a filling, easy lunch or quick snack will appreciate options like wraps, kebabs, and falafel, with standout house sauces mentioned frequently by repeat visitors. The lamb and hummus have drawn particular praise from those who seek Mediterranean flavors in Taipei without the fuss.

Aside from the food, the café’s small Turkish ice cream counter is a playful touch that offers a bit of entertainment and cultural texture in this modest Yongkang lane spot. The friendly, Turkish-speaking staff contribute to a welcoming environment that contrasts with the usual fast-paced street dining scene nearby.

For anyone curious about Mediterranean and Turkish tastes or looking for a relaxed, casual meal near Da’an District’s bustling core, Mosaic Art & Cafe offers a down-to-earth experience. It fits neatly into the daily rhythms of local life here—quick enough for a lunch break, comforting enough for a casual outing, and accessible for those new to Turkish cuisine.

I don’t know what Turkish food should taste like, but I know what I ate was really good! Would definitely come back and try other items on the menu, I was in a hurry so I got a chicken wrap, the sauce was amazing and the wrap was very filling. Enjoyed every bite! They have Turkish music playing. I enjoyed my short time there.

I discovered this place in early September, and since then it has become somewhere I keep coming back to. It feels truly authentic: there’s usually Turkish music playing, and all the staff are Turkish. Speaking of the staff, they’re incredibly friendly. The food is great! My go-to choices are cacık, beef köfte with rice, and of course tea and baklava. The café itself is cozy and quite unique for Taiwan. There aren’t many seats, but you can always get your food to go. If you have the chance, definitely stop by and enjoy!

Delicious hummus, falafel and lamb. It's really affordable and a great student meal- only 120 for a super filling falafel wrap! Such a cute vibe here and great to find such good Turkish food in Taiwan for an affordable price. There is some seating outside but not much, more of a casual dining/takeaway spot.

Saw this place built, and waited till I could finally try it out. Located on the outskirts of Yongkang street. Food is great, decent price and great service. Place only has 8 seats, so expect to takeaway or go at non peak hours to dine in. Tried the kebabs and kebab rice, taste was good and portions okay. They also have a Turkish ice cream stand for a little bit entertainment, although I did not try it so I can’t comment. Wld recommmend for those craving a kebab or Arab food without breaking the bank.

One of my new favorite restaurants in Taipei! The hummus was simply delicious—the best I’ve ever found in Taiwan AND at an affordable price! I will definitely be a regular here. Can’t wait to try the whole menu!

Absolutely beautiful baklava. Rich layers of nuts, honey, on layers of papery phyllo. Not as sweet as you’d expect - which is lovely. Also ate some delightful Turkish delight, nutty with dried rose petals and a delicate rose flavour. The Turkish coffee was earthy and intense. Wonderful, warm, vibrant al fresco space.
